Born and raised in Nairobi's vibrant streets, Thumbi discovered his passion for leatherwork at an early age. What began as a necessity—repairing his own shoes—blossomed into a lifelong craft.
Inspired by Rastafarian values of self-reliance and natural living, Thumbi combines traditional Kenyan techniques with contemporary design to create footwear that tells a story.
